Mental Wellbeing

Mental health is described by the World Health Organization (WHO) as ‘a state of mental well-being’, and something that is ‘more than just the absence of mental disorders or disabilities’. It is when an individual can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a valuable contribution to their community. Our mental well-being is essential for us to function effectively, interact with others and feel satisfied with our lives. However, our mental well-being is dynamic i.e. it can change from moment to moment. We all have times when we find it difficult to cope with life, and what affects someone’s mental well-being won’t necessarily affect others in the same way. And just like we take care of our physical health, it is important to take care of our mental health too.

Testimonials

I attended 2 webinars from The 7th Fold and both the sessions were well organised - right from depth of research to examples, case studies and approach to handling day to day challenges. Attending these sessions made me mindful of how these otherwise neglected subjects can dynamically transform our personal and professional lives

Armaity AmariaPublisher, Conde Nast India

Very relevant, relatable and gripping subjects as well as sessions, even more important now than before. Hamsaz was able to explain the science and art in these byte sized sessions.

Deepika KingerLearning and Development Professional

The session was very insightful and well put together! I especially loved how the content was grounded in research, and how the science behind the concept was explained in simple terms.

Ragaviveka GopalanStudent

The topic was well presented with examples. In the present time where every morning opens up to uncertainties, insecurities and raises questions on our existence, a lesson and reflection in Building Resilience is definitely an eye opener. Thank you Hamsaz for conducting such a thought provoking session in a simple and relatable way.

Counselling / Therapy with our Mental Health Coach

We all go through tough times in our lives where we can use an expert who will help us arrive at insights and get over our self defeating emotions. Just like when we were weak at Maths, we went to a coaching class, we need to go to a Mental Health Coach when we think we are weak at managing our emotions. Therapy sessions can be used for distress, disorders and development. For these therapy sessions, the Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Rational Emotive Behaviour techniques will be used. These are the most widely used talking therapies.
